Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior SAS Developer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Strengthening a team responsible for business-critical finance and reporting systems built largely in SAS and running on mainframe environments
- Quickly familiarizing yourself with existing data flows, logic, and integrations to support both maintenance and development initiatives
- Analyzing and optimizing current SAS solutions to improve performance, stability, and efficiency
- Designing and implementing new features and enhancements in SAS, including participation in architecture and solution design
- Handling advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical challenges in complex mainframe-based environments
- Collaborating closely with developers, domain experts, and stakeholders to ensure high quality and long-term sustainability of SAS-based systems
- Contributing to planning, technical leadership, and continuous improvement of processes and working methods
What you bring:
- At least 15 years of experience in SAS development within Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
- Proven experience in solution design and architecture in SAS environments
- Background in project management or technical leadership roles
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex, large-scale systems and mainframe-based platforms
- Strong understanding of how SAS operates on a mainframe
- Excellent collaboration skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
- Previous experience from the banking or financial sector
- Analytical, structured working style with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with responsibility from requirements to delivery
- Strong communication skills, curiosity, and a drive to improve and optimize existing solutions
- Fluent in English and Swedish.
