Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Scala Developer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Develop and maintain applications on the JVM, with a strong focus on Scala
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance systems
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions
- Work on-site in Malmö, engaging with colleagues to solve complex technical challenges
What you bring:
- At least 3 years of professional development experience
- Deep knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with the JVM, preferably Scala
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- EU citizenship or a valid Swedish work permit (relocation outside the EU is not possible)
- Permanent residency in Sweden, or commitment to relocating near Malmö as this is an on-site role
Extra merit qualifications:
- Experience with event streaming (e.g., Kafka)
- Ability to design and implement APIs and REST services
- Experience with frameworks such as Spark, Akka, Play
- Knowledge of big data ETL and data streaming
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases
- Experience or understanding of applying Machine Learning/AI to large data sets
