Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Develop and test software using C# and the .NET Framework stack.
- Deploy software artifacts to Microsoft Azure and RedHat OpenShift environments.
- Design solutions to meet user requirements using the Volvo Group technology stack.
- Create secure and reusable APIs following best practices.
- Break down larger problems into manageable pieces to fit team sprints.
- Provide clear information to enable confident backlog planning.
- Write repeatable unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot user issues across software environments and implement appropriate corrections.
- Produce technical documentation for developers and architects.
- Review peers’ code and write code suitable for review.
- Automate build, test, packaging, and deployment of software releases.
- Monitor application environments for errors and anomalies and respond proactively.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in the financial industry or equivalent domain knowledge.
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience as a Software Engineer using the .NET Framework.
- Experience writing RESTful and RPC APIs, secured with OAuth 2.0.
- Hands-on experience with .NET MVC, Entity Framework, and ASP.NET.
- Familiarity with .NET testing frameworks and tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and SQL Server.
- Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes or RedHat OpenShift.
- Experience with messaging platforms such as IBM MQ or Apache Kafka.
- Additional advantages: experience with React or Angular, GraphQL, Webhooks, HashiCorp Terraform, and Azure Fundamentals certification.
