Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Develop and drive purchasing strategies for commodities or unique suppliers within your supplier base.
- Select, manage, and develop suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with global purchasing teams to contribute to and leverage global strategies where relevant.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and major purchase orders to secure optimal terms and conditions.
- Support tactical and operational purchasing by managing escalations and resolving supplier-related challenges.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional development projects aimed at streamlining purchasing processes and driving efficiency across the organization.
What you bring:
- University degree in technology, economics, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to manage and interpret data (e.g. in Excel).
- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to see the big picture while balancing operational details.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across functional boundaries and within purchasing teams.
- Results-oriented approach, with high drive, service orientation, and a strong focus on delivering value.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience in purchasing or commercial roles is meriting.
- A technical interest and the ability to engage in discussions with suppliers on technical topics is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset, both internally and externally.
