Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Sustainability Product Design Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop hardware requirements and sustainable solutions for both new and legacy products in the life science field, focusing on Design for Sustainability (DfS).
- Contribute to and drive our sustainability roadmap, embedding sustainability principles into product development and fostering a cultural shift towards environmentally friendly practices.
- Lead the strategy creation, capability development, and process/tool incubation for sustainability initiatives.
- Focus on applying DfS principles to reduce environmental impact across five key areas: Less hazardous materials, Less waste, More energy-efficient designs, Responsible packaging, Extended product life
- Collaborate with the DfS team to share design guidelines and ensure that customer requirements align with sustainability objectives.
- Perform research and analysis to identify opportunities for enhancing energy efficiency and waste reduction.
- Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics and track progress towards environmental goals.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvements.
What You Bring:
- Curiosity, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in sustainability engineering or a related role, with a demonstrated ability to implement sustainability strategies.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to discover and implement solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for driving sustainability in product design.
