Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior System and Network Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On
- Design, implement, and maintain critical network components, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Configure and manage network protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, and DHCP.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, quickly identifying and resolving issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and IT equipment to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across the organization.
- Perform regular system backups and develop disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving system-related concerns.
- Integrate diverse systems and applications to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect IT infrastructure and sensitive data.
- Monitor threats and vulnerabilities, responding swiftly to security incidents and mitigating risks.
- Optimize IT resources to control costs, enhance productivity, and prevent downtime or data loss.
- Design scalable IT infrastructure to accommodate business growth and increased workloads.
- Regularly monitor and fine-tune systems for peak performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT strategies with long-term business objectives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in system and network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
- Proficiency with server and workstation operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Experience using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Relevant certifications in network engineering (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of security tools and practices, including firewalls, IDS, encryption, and access control.
