Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Systems Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Manage and operate a state-of-the-art trading platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Oversee incident resolution, respond to operational issues, and manage the release of new software versions.
- Conduct non-functional and performance testing, along with executing recovery procedures for different system releases.
- Implement changes and improvements to existing systems, and design new solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- Participate in strategic projects aimed at enhancing and introducing new products and functionalities.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights on operational requirements and addressing technical queries.
- Maintain comprehensive operational documentation to support second-line operations.
- Manage and execute tasks independently within large-scale implementation projects.
What you bring:
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience in DevOps, System Administration, Network, Application Operations, or similar roles.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and experience with databases like SQL.
- Familiarity with Cloud Computing, Containerization (e.g., Docker), and Container Orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, client-centric environment with a strong personal drive and initiative.
- Capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively in a 24/7 mission-critical setting.
- An agile mindset and ability to thrive in rapidly changing conditions, with a results-oriented approach and strong collaboration skills.
