Assignment Description
We are looking for a Backend / Data Engineer
What You Will Work On
- Design and develop scalable backend services for financial and tax-related processes
- Build data pipelines and processing solutions for large-scale transactional data
- Develop solutions supporting tax calculation, invoicing, revenue recognition, and reporting
- Create reliable and audit-compliant financial data workflows
- Design and implement distributed systems handling high transaction volumes
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to deliver business-critical capabilities
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Develop cloud-native solutions within modern platform environments
- Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and maintainability
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Ensure solutions meet compliance, reporting, and operational requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvements in platform engineering and data processing capabilities
What You Bring
- Strong expertise in Backend Engineering and/or Data Engineering
- Experience working with large-scale transactional and financial data
- Hands-on experience with Spark, Flink, or Apache Beam
- Strong Java development experience in scalable backend environments
- Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience building cloud-native applications, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong focus on software quality, testing, documentation, and maintainable solutions
- Experience working in cross-functional and collaborative environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills
