Assignment Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer
What You Will Work On
- Own and continuously improve the platform’s data architecture and data foundation
- Design and maintain scalable data models supporting multiple partners, markets, and integrations
- Develop and operate data ingestion pipelines, including validation, transformation, retry handling, and auditability
- Build reliable data pipelines, data contracts, and quality controls for trusted business metrics
- Design and maintain integrations with external systems, APIs, business applications, data platforms, and file-based transfers
- Improve data quality, governance, traceability, and observability across the platform
- Contribute to backend services and cloud infrastructure using AWS
- Support databases, monitoring, job scheduling, platform scalability, and operational excellence
- Collaborate with the Product Lead and Lead Developer on architecture, technical strategy, and engineering priorities
- Support engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, documentation, and development standards
- Represent the technical perspective in data architecture and integration discussions
- Support analytics, platform observability, and performance optimization
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools while ensuring code quality and technical accuracy
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Contribute across backend, cloud, platform, and data engineering activities
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Platform Engineer, Backend Engineer, or similar technical role
- Senior-level experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or platform engineering
- Strong hands-on expertise with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Practical experience working with APIs and cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices
- Strong understanding of backend systems, cloud architecture, and platform engineering
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
- Structured, pragmatic, delivery-focused, and highly self-driven
- Ability to manage broad responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Comfortable working across data engineering, backend development, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering
