Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior HW Design Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What You Will Work On:
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of steering components and systems.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models of components and systems.
- Conduct structural, thermal, and environmental analyses using simulation tools to evaluate and optimize design performance and durability.
- Oversee the prototyping process and coordinate with testing teams to validate designs through physical testing.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers, as well as suppliers, to integrate components into vehicle systems and address design challenges.
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
- Lead or support project planning and execution, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in designing steering components or systems with a strong understanding of performance, manufacturability, and cost considerations.
- Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed 2D and 3D models.
- Experience with structural, thermal, and environmental analysis using simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing, and knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to resolve design issues effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent documentation skills, including the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, test plans, and reports.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Experience in project planning and execution, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
