Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior AWS API Gateway Specialist to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Develop and implement API service architectures using AWS API Gateway or other leading API management tools (e.g., Kong, WSO2, Apigee).
- Provide third-level support, including troubleshooting and resolving incidents, changes, and problems in collaboration with clients, second-level support, and providers.
- Design and manage API Gateway policies for exposing APIs and automating the API ecosystem.
- Optimize API performance, implement monitoring solutions, and support Kubernetes-based cloud-native applications.
- Collaborate on the deployment of cloud-native applications, focusing on infrastructure lifecycle management for API Gateways.
- Apply security best practices for WebSocket APIs, REST, XML, JSON, and web services, using standards like OAUTH2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
- Engineer enhancements to the API Gateway infrastructure, including DevOps self-services, log integration, and capacity management.
What you bring:
- Extensive hands-on development experience working with APIs and API Gateway products.
- Advanced knowledge of implementing API service architectures (SOAP, REST) using leading API management tools such as AWS API Gateway, Kong, WSO2, or Apigee.
- Expertise in WebSocket APIs, REST, XML, JSON, SOA/Web services, and Internet/network security standards.
- Experience with cloud, on-premise, hybrid solutions, and containers, including deployment and support of Kubernetes environments.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and AWS Lambda.
- In-depth understanding of microservices architecture and backend server components.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting API Gateway solutions.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, DNS, VPN, LDAP).
- Proficiency in using testing tools like SoapUI, Postman, and WebSocket utilities.
- English language skills sufficient for effective communication in a professional setting.
