Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Lead and drive Functional Safety (FuSA) activities for steering-related driver support and autonomous vehicle control functions
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 by conducting and documenting FMEA, HARA, Fault Tree Analysis, Functional Safety Concepts, and Functional Requirements
- Structure and organize safety work while training and supporting colleagues in FuSA methodologies
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to support system development for Lateral ADAS and autonomous driving technologies
- Contribute to Cyber Security Analysis tasks as needed
- If applicable, support software development tasks including writing, reviewing, and debugging algorithms using Python, Simulink, or C/C++
- Conduct testing and validation using HIL rigs, emulators, and vehicle environments
- Handle tasks involving export control regulated information in accordance with EU and US legislation
What you bring:
- M.Sc. in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- FuSA-related training or certification
- Experience working with ISO 26262 and FuSA processes in the automotive industry
- Familiarity with automotive systems including electrical and embedded vehicle systems
- Knowledge of relevant UN ECE Regulations (R79, R171, R130, R13) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with C, C++, Python, bash, CANalyzer, CANoe, git, and conan
- Proficiency in Matlab and Simulink for modeling and control logic
- Understanding of MISRA guidelines, static code analysis tools such as LINT, and software quality standards
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and automotive Ethernet
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a hybrid setup (minimum 3 days/week onsite)
- Fluent in English; Swedish is an advantage
- Valid Class B (C) driver’s license is a merit
