Job Description
Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Provide specialist expertise in plating processes including electroplating, electroless plating, and brush plating to support design teams with Design for Manufacturing (DfM) considerations
- Maintain and develop plating process standards and associated design practices for aerospace engine components
- Contribute to the review and approval of internal repair procedures for both new production and maintenance
- Support substantiation of plating procedures in repair manuals, ensuring alignment with delegated design responsibilities and customer expectations
- Handle technical queries and approval requests from global manufacturing sites related to plating methods
- Participate in internal and supplier audits to ensure process compliance and capability
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, process instructions, and presentations to cross-functional stakeholders
What you bring:
- Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline
- Solid experience and engineering knowledge in plating processes and associated chemical treatments
- Strong ability to interpret technical data and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to define and monitor process requirements
- Knowledge of related surface treatment methods including cleaning, abrasive blasting, heat treatment, and chemical pretreatments
- Familiarity with aluminum anodizing and conversion coatings, and their application in aerospace contexts
- Competence in evaluating the interactions between non-metallic materials (e.g., polymers, lubricants, greases, coatings) and metallic substrates
- Understanding of oxidation and corrosion mechanisms, along with associated testing methods
- Experience working within the aerospace industry and with tools such as Teamcenter is preferred
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Methodical and curious mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment
- Proven experience in leading or coordinating technical teams and projects to successful outcomes
