Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Scala Developer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Develop and maintain applications on the JVM, with a strong focus on Scala
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance systems
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions
• Work on-site in Malmö, engaging with colleagues to solve complex technical challenges

What you bring:

• At least 3 years of professional development experience
• Deep knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with the JVM, preferably Scala
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• EU citizenship or a valid Swedish work permit (relocation outside the EU is not possible)
• Permanent residency in Sweden, or commitment to relocating near Malmö as this is an on-site role

Extra merit qualifications:

• Experience with event streaming (e.g., Kafka)
• Ability to design and implement APIs and REST services
• Experience with frameworks such as Spark, Akka, Play
• Knowledge of big data ETL and data streaming
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases
• Experience or understanding of applying Machine Learning/AI to large data sets
