Job Overview

Assignment Description

We are looking for an Analytical Chemist / Analytical Scientist with strong experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry to support customer projects in Uppsala.

The role focuses on analytical testing, method development, optimization, and validation within new product development as well as product and process improvement initiatives.

You will work as part of cross-functional project teams, applying analytical chemistry expertise to support research, production, and quality control activities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with LC/MS and/or GC/MS, quantitative chromatography, and analytical method development in an industrial environment.

What You Will Work On

  • Participate in project teams supporting new product development and product/process improvement activities
  • Perform analytical testing using chromatography and other analytical techniques
  • Work with:LC/MS
  • GC/MS
  • Quantitative chromatography methods

Develop and optimize analytical methods for project requirements

Perform analytical method validation according to quality standards

Support production and quality control teams with analytical investigations

Evaluate analytical data and contribute to technical conclusions

Document analytical results, methods, and validation activities

Collaborate with scientists, engineers, quality teams, and project stakeholders

What You Bring

  • PhD with a few years of industry experience, or MSc with several years of professional experience in analytical chemistry
  • Strong experience in analytical chemistry with focus on:Quantitative chromatography
  • Liquid chromatography (LC)
  • Gas chromatography (GC)
  • Mass spectrometry (MS)

Experience developing and validating analytical methods

Experience working in laboratory environments with analytical instruments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary project teams

Good documentation and communication skills

Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
