Role Summary
An experienced Business Controller is needed to support Battery & Charging within a global R&D organization. This consulting assignment combines finance, technology and business, acting as a trusted finance business partner to R&D leaders and helping shape financial management for future battery and charging solutions.
The R&D organization is undergoing significant transformation in its ways of working, systems and roles. The successful consultant will contribute to the development and implementation of an evolving financial management model while collaborating closely with engineering, project management and finance stakeholders in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with R&D leadership and management teams to provide financial insight, analysis and decision support.
- Lead and support financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities for the Battery & Charging area.
- Prepare financial analyses, business cases and scenario assessments to inform strategic decisions and business performance.
- Perform KPI follow-up and deliver clear reporting and presentations for leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Support financial steering and performance management across R&D functions.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of future controlling processes, methods and tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, leadership groups and finance colleagues across the global organization.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, planning and modelling.
- Strong capability in Power BI for reporting, visualization and KPI follow-up.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills for management reporting and decision-support presentations.
- Experience with SAP is a strong advantage.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, business-case development and scenario analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, with at least 3–5 years of Business Controlling experience. Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and management teams in complex, international organizations is required. Candidates should be able to translate financial data into structured, actionable insights that improve business performance. An interest in electrification, battery technology and the commercial-vehicle industry transformation is highly relevant. Professional fluency in English, written and spoken, is required; Swedish fluency is beneficial.
