Assignment Description
We are looking for a Senior Android / AOSP Platform Architect to own the long-term vision, architecture and roadmap for a software platform focused on Android/AOSP within the automotive industry.
What You Will Work On
- Own the long-term vision, architecture and roadmap for the Android/AOSP platform
- Define a sustainable and reusable platform strategy
- Balance short-term product needs with long-term platform development
- Lead technical decisions across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain platform requirements and requirement structures
- Drive platform scalability, performance, security and future readiness
- Work with Android platform architecture and AOSP
- Contribute to platform adaptation and framework development
- Work with embedded Linux environments
- Collaborate across software, hardware, systems engineering and product development
- Translate business and system requirements into technical platform capabilities
- Coordinate technical alignment across development teams and system architects
- Act as a technical spokesperson for the platform area
- Support platform centralization and reuse across multiple hardware products
- Drive initiatives and take ownership of platform development
What You Bring
- Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or equivalent
- Several years of experience in embedded software development and architecture
- Proven experience owning and developing software platforms across multiple product releases
- Experience making technical decisions across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of Android platform architecture and AOSP
- Experience with Android platform adaptation and/or framework development
- Experience developing in embedded Linux environments
- Understanding of systems engineering, middleware and hardware/software integration
- Experience working with long release cycles
- Strong strategic problem-solving ability
- Strong influencing and decision-making skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Strong ownership and initiative
- Fluent English
- Ability to understand spoken Swedish in a workplace context
