Job Overview
Role Summary
An experienced hands-on Test Lead is needed for a consulting assignment within a development team delivering back-office solutions used close to retail stores. The systems support operational processes required for daily store operations, including assortment management as well as product, pricing, and shrinkage management.
You will be part of a test team while working closely with a cross-functional development team consisting of developers, a Business Analyst, Product Owner, and Tech Lead. The role combines test leadership with practical testing responsibilities in a dynamic environment with frequent change and close collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and take ownership of testing activities within the assigned functional area.
- Plan testing work in close collaboration with the development team and other testers.
- Define test scope, create test plans, and ensure efficient test execution.
- Design, document, and execute test cases.
- Perform integration testing across relevant systems and interfaces.
- Conduct user interface testing to validate functionality and user-facing workflows.
- Collaborate with developers, the Business Analyst, Product Owner, Tech Lead, and testers to identify quality risks and support delivery.
- Manage intensive testing periods and maintain structured ownership of testing deliverables.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Hands-on experience with test case planning, creation, and execution.
- Strong experience in Integration Testing.
- Experience with User Interface Testing.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience using Jira for test-related planning and collaboration.
- Experience with Playwright is advantageous.
Qualifications & Experience
You should have demonstrated experience in practical testing and test coordination, including planning, producing, and executing test cases. Strong integration-testing experience and experience testing user interfaces are required. The assignment requires an independent and structured professional who can take responsibility for a testing area while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams. Experience working at a high pace during intensive testing phases is important. Playwright experience is considered a merit.
