Job Overview
Role Summary
An Integration Developer is needed to support customer projects by establishing integrations through an existing integration layer. The assignment focuses on translating customer requirements into well-configured, maintainable integration solutions that follow established best practices. While this is not a pure day-to-day software development role, strong Java expertise is essential to effectively use, adapt, and extend reusable integration components.
The role combines stakeholder communication, technical configuration, testing, and targeted development. The expected allocation is approximately 40% communication, 30% configuration, 10% testing, and 20% Java development.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, clarify, and translate integration requirements from customer teams into technical implementation activities.
- Configure and implement integrations through the existing integration layer in accordance with established best practices.
- Use and adapt reusable Java-based components to meet customer-specific integration requirements.
- Perform integration configuration, validation, and testing to ensure reliable delivery.
- Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders and internal technical teams throughout the implementation process.
- Support automation, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities in the integration environment.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Hands-on experience with API Management and/or Apache Kafka.
- Strong Java skills for adapting and using reusable integration components.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience automating workflows using GitHub Actions and Ansible Tower.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and a solid understanding of Kubernetes clusters.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) environments.
- Knowledge of Splunk, Fluent Bit, and Helm charts.
- Experience with Angular, JavaScript, and Bash scripting is advantageous.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of practical experience in API Management and/or Apache Kafka, as well as 3–5 years of Java experience. Previous work in an integration-focused department is advantageous. This role is suited to a hands-on integration professional who enjoys combining customer dialogue, technical configuration, testing, and targeted development rather than focusing exclusively on architecture or pure software development.
