Integration Specialist – WSO2 API Manager & MCP - 19848

Assignment Description

We are looking for an experienced Integration Specialist

What You Will Work On

• Administer WSO2 API Manager components, including Gateway, Publisher, Developer Portal, Key Manager, and Traffic Manager.
• Deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot WSO2 environments on Linux virtual machines and Azure AKS.
• Integrate third-party identity providers and key managers such as Keycloak and Okta.
• Configure and govern LLM APIs, including authentication, token-based throttling, rate limiting, and usage tracking.
• Set up and maintain MCP servers and troubleshoot client-server integrations.
• Secure API and MCP endpoints using OAuth2, JWT, access controls, and certificates.
• Monitor API traffic, troubleshoot performance issues, and improve gateway reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes.
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and operational runbooks.

What You Bring

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience administering WSO2 API Manager, versions 3.x or 4.x.
• Strong knowledge of WSO2 architecture and core components.
• Experience integrating third-party key managers and identity providers.
• Experience deploying and maintaining WSO2 on Linux virtual machines, including databases, load balancers, and high-availability setups.
• Working knowledge of Azure AKS, Kubernetes, kubectl, Helm, networking, ingress, and monitoring.
• Understanding of LLM APIs, including request/response structures, streaming, token usage, and rate limits.
• Strong knowledge of MCP architecture, transports, session lifecycle, tool discovery, tool invocation, and context passing.
• Experience securing and troubleshooting MCP integrations.
• Solid understanding of OAuth2, JWT, API security, and certificate management.
• Linux system administration skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Meritorious

• WSO2 certifications.
• Experience with WSO2 Identity Server or WSO2 Micro Integrator.
• Experience with Terraform or Bicep for Azure infrastructure provisioning.
• Knowledge of API monetization and subscription management.
• Experience developing custom mediators or Synapse configurations.
• Experience developing MCP servers using TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Exposure to prompt engineering and AI/ML API orchestration.
• Experience managing multiple MCP server instances behind an API gateway.
