Assignment Description

We are looking for a Laboratory Engineer / QC Laboratory Specialist to join a Quality Control department in Uppsala.

The role focuses on analytical testing, quality control, laboratory investigations, and maintaining reliable analytical processes in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.

You will perform analytical testing, review and approve results, investigate out-of-specification results and deviations, and ensure analytical instruments are properly calibrated and maintained.

The ideal candidate has an educational background in biotechnology or chemistry and hands-on experience with ÄKTA, HPLC, FPLC, and LC-MS instruments.

What You Will Work On

  • Perform analytical testing according to approved procedures and established quality standards
  • Report, review, and approve analytical results
  • Ensure analytical results meet accuracy, quality, and compliance requirements
  • Initiate and lead investigations related to:Out-of-specification (OOS) results
  • Deviations
  • Laboratory issues

Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory and quality processes

Perform checks, calibration, and maintenance of analytical instruments

Ensure laboratory equipment remains reliable and fit for purpose

Update and approve laboratory work instructions

Maintain and improve:

  • Control methods
  • Standard methods
  • Calibration methods

Work according to established quality and compliance procedures

Collaborate with QC, laboratory, quality, and other relevant teams

What You Bring

  • University degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Hands-on experience operating:ÄKTA
  • HPLC
  • FPLC
  • LC-MS

Knowledge of electrophoresis

Experience working in laboratory or quality control environments

Understanding of analytical testing and quality standards

Experience with analytical investigations and deviation handling

Ability to document, review, and communicate analytical results accurately

Fluent Swedish communication skills, both written and spoken

Basic English skills
