Senior Backend/Distributed Systems Engineer - Gothenburg

Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend/Distributed Systems Engineer with strong experience in C# and/or Java, Azure, Kafka and API development. The role focuses on building scalable backend solutions and distributed systems in a modern cloud environment.

What You Will Work On

• Develop and maintain backend services using C# and/or Java
• Design and develop distributed systems
• Build and integrate REST APIs and other API solutions
• Work with Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka
• Design scalable and reliable backend architectures
• Troubleshoot and optimize distributed applications
• Collaborate with frontend developers, architects and other technical teams
• Contribute to technical design, code quality and continuous improvement

What You Bring

• Strong experience in C# and/or Java
• Solid experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
• Strong API development and integration experience
• Good understanding of distributed systems
• Experience designing scalable and reliable backend solutions
• Good understanding of cloud-native development
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills

Meritorious

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD
• Experience with event-driven architecture
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
