Role Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer for an exciting, technically focused consulting assignment with a growing Swedish technology company in Stockholm. The assignment is connected to an initiative within the organisation's broader data and systems landscape.
The initial focus is to conduct a structured inventory and assessment of an existing data tool used across multiple areas of the organisation. The goal is to establish a clear understanding of current solutions, data assets, integrations, use cases, and dependencies, while identifying opportunities for improvement and continued development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct an inventory and mapping of existing data and system solutions.
- Analyse data flows, integrations, dependencies, and current usage patterns.
- Identify improvement opportunities, technical debt, and areas requiring further development.
- Structure and document data assets, data pipelines, and system integrations.
- Collaborate closely with the Data Platform team and technical as well as business-facing stakeholders.
- Contribute hands-on technical expertise to improve visibility, maintainability, and future development of the data landscape.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Strong practical experience in Data Engineering and data platform environments.
- Experience analysing and documenting data pipelines, data flows, and system dependencies.
- Experience working with system and data integrations.
- Solid knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure in a data platform context.
- Ability to assess existing technical solutions and identify technical debt and improvement areas.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal consultant is a senior-level data engineering professional with substantial hands-on experience of data platforms, cloud-based infrastructure, and complex system landscapes. You should be comfortable working independently in discovery and assessment initiatives while collaborating closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Experience of technical documentation, solution mapping, and evaluating existing data ecosystems is important for this assignment.
