Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer – Automotive - 19733

Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps / Platform Engineer to build reusable, secure and extensible solutions that improve developer experience and engineering workflows within the automotive industry.

The role combines DevSecOps, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and AI, with a strong focus on Internal Developer Platforms and improving how software development teams work.

What You Will Work On

• Create reusable, extensible and secure solutions for engineering workflows
• Improve the Golden Path for developers and engineering teams
• Experiment with AI, LLMs, AI agents and MCP
• Explore how AI can improve the software development lifecycle
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand and solve development pain points
• Continuously improve platform solutions based on usage and feedback
• Improve developer experience across the organization
• Work with Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions using Azure
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
• Develop automation using Bash and PowerShell
• Work with Docker and container technologies
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Contribute to Internal Developer Platforms and Backstage
• Apply secure-by-design and DevSecOps principles
• Work in an Agile environment

What You Bring

• Strong DevSecOps fundamentals and mindset
• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
• Experience with Bash and PowerShell
• Software engineering experience with Python, TypeScript and/or React
• Hands-on experience with Docker
• Strong understanding of Git-based workflows
• Strong understanding of secure-by-design principles
• Knowledge or experience with AI and its impact on software development
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with Backstage or Internal Developer Platforms
• Understanding of Agile ways of working
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience building Internal Developer Platforms
• Experience with Backstage
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents or MCP
• Experience improving developer experience at scale
• Experience with AI-assisted software development
