Job Overview
Role Summary
An experienced and confident Project Manager is required for a consulting assignment focused on establishing a receiving organisation for long-term service management and continued development following a major transformation programme. The programme involves significant changes to system support, processes and ways of working.
A feasibility study has mapped deliveries, systems, processes and existing management structures. The Project Manager will take ownership of its outcomes, prioritise identified gaps, and translate recommendations into a concrete, practical and executable implementation plan.
The role focuses on organisational establishment, business transformation and the transition from a programme structure to a line organisation. The assignment requires the creation of clear accountability, mandates and process ownership, ensuring that the appropriate capabilities, resources, governance and service-management processes are in place before handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Take over and assess the results of the feasibility study, including mapped deliveries, systems, processes and existing management structures.
- Prioritise organisational, operational and technical gaps and convert recommendations into an actionable delivery and implementation plan.
- Establish a receiving organisation capable of supporting long-term management and continued development after programme completion.
- Define responsibilities, decision-making mandates, process ownership and organisational interfaces for the future operating model.
- Ensure that required competencies, resources, governance structures and service-management processes are established ahead of the handover.
- Lead cross-functional change initiatives involving business stakeholders, IT, service management, service desk functions, programme management and external suppliers.
- Manage dependencies, drive decisions and create progress within a complex organisation where responsibilities and organisational interfaces are still being defined.
- Balance organisational and technical requirements against business value, cost, resource needs and long-term sustainability.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Strong experience in Project Management for business development, IT, transformation and organisational change initiatives.
- Experience with ITIL or other established IT Service Management frameworks.
- Ability to establish governance models, operating structures, process ownership and service-management capabilities.
- Experience translating feasibility studies, assessments and mapping activities into decisions, implementation plans and operational execution.
- Understanding of the interaction between business operations, IT, service management, service desk functions and external suppliers.
- Experience managing cross-functional dependencies and organisational transition activities in large, complex environments.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate has documented senior-level experience in project management within business development, IT, transformation and organisational change. Previous experience establishing receiving organisations, service-management organisations or equivalent structures in large and complex enterprises is required. The candidate should be able to turn analysis and identified needs into effective organisational structures, governance and working methods, while driving alignment and progress in environments with unclear or evolving responsibilities and mandates.
Excellent written and spoken Swedish and good written and spoken English are required.
