Senior Technical Data Steward – Master Data & Data Management - 20344

Assignment Description

We are looking for a senior Technical Data Steward to strengthen master data management and improve the structure, quality, and reliability of data across a complex IT environment.

You will work at the intersection of business and IT, translating business requirements into scalable and sustainable data solutions. The role combines technical data expertise with business understanding, requiring close collaboration with stakeholders, development teams, and architects.

What You Will Work On

• Drive master data initiatives from business requirements through to technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain an overview of data objects, data models, relationships, and integrations.
• Map and analyse how master data is created, updated, distributed, and consumed across multiple systems.
• Perform impact and dependency analyses for changes to data, systems, and business processes.
• Identify root causes of data structure and quality issues and drive improvements.
• Ensure data solutions follow established standards, principles, and architecture.
• Provide technical data guidance to projects and development initiatives.
• Coordinate prioritised master data activities with business stakeholders, development teams, and architects.
• Support sustainable data structures that improve data quality and reduce technical debt.
• Enable effective use and development of master data across systems and organisational boundaries.

What You Bring

• Several years of experience implementing IT solutions for master data or data management.
• Proven experience in data modelling and information structures.
• Experience with integrations and cross-system data flows.
• Ability to perform impact and dependency analyses related to data changes.
• Experience translating business requirements into technically sustainable solutions.
• Strong understanding of complex system landscapes with multiple data producers and consumers.
• Experience independently driving complex issues with business stakeholders, development teams, and architects.
• Ability to interpret data models, information models, and technical integration documentation.
• Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written.
• Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Meritorious

• Master data experience in retail, logistics, supply chain, or similar industries.
• SQL experience or equivalent tools for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Experience with data quality management and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of GS1 standards and information models.
• Experience working in large organisations with complex systems, numerous integrations, and organisational dependencies.
