Job Overview
Role Summary
An experienced Senior Test Engineer is needed to join an R&D verification team responsible for assuring the quality, stability and reliability of increasingly complex electronic and software-based product portfolios. The assignment supports the delivery of robust, modular and long-lasting system platforms that enable connectivity, seamless integration, user-friendly solutions and rapid customer adaptations.
The role focuses on verifying that system solutions meet defined requirements for performance, stability, stress tolerance, reliability, robustness and functional specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop test plans for system releases and define verification activities.
- Design system test cases based on customer requirements, specifications and customer feedback.
- Execute manual and automated system testing.
- Create, maintain and enhance automated test cases using Python.
- Configure, maintain and improve test environments to increase test automation coverage and efficiency.
- Verify system performance, stability, stress behavior, reliability and robustness.
- Document test execution, progress, findings and outcomes, and report results to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with R&D teams and external stakeholders in an international technical environment.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Strong Python programming skills for test automation.
- Experience working in automated test environments and with automated system testing.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and open systems.
- Experience with Linux-based environments.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Experience using Selenium for test automation.
- Experience with Jira and Jama for issue tracking, requirements and test-related work.
- Knowledge of ISTQB testing principles and practices.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate has senior-level experience in system testing, including manual testing, automated testing or a combination of both. A relevant educational background in Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required. The candidate should have a strong technical understanding of complex product portfolios, embedded technology and the quality requirements associated with integrated hardware and software solutions.
Strong spoken and written English is required for effective collaboration in an international environment. Swedish language skills are advantageous.
