Job Overview
Role Summary
An experienced Test Lead is needed for a large-scale transformation programme within the retail sector. Multiple business processes, ways of working and supporting systems will be changed and implemented in parallel. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating and leading testing activities throughout the development and implementation lifecycle, ensuring that quality objectives, timelines and dependencies are managed effectively.
You will work closely with project management, change management, solution architects, business representatives and external suppliers. The assignment includes overall responsibility for test strategy, test planning, test-resource coordination, test-result follow-up and quality reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and govern the overall test strategy and test plans for the transformation programme.
- Plan, coordinate and lead testing activities across the delivery and implementation lifecycle.
- Define and assure the quality of test scope, test cases and test data.
- Coordinate system testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and user acceptance testing.
- Coordinate test resources, dependencies and activities across business, IT teams and external suppliers.
- Monitor, manage and follow up defects, risks, test progress and quality indicators.
- Ensure corrective actions are driven forward in line with programme milestones, schedules and quality targets.
- Provide clear test reporting and decision support to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to effective testing processes, methods and tools, and strengthen collaboration between business and IT stakeholders.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Strong practical experience with test strategy, test planning, test processes and quality assurance.
- Proven ability to lead system testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing.
- Experience with test tools and issue-tracking systems.
- Experience in requirements management and traceability between requirements, test scope and test outcomes.
- Knowledge of agile ways of working and hybrid project delivery models is advantageous.
- Experience with integration platforms or complex enterprise-system landscapes is advantageous.
Qualifications & Experience
You have at least 5 years of experience as a Test Lead in complex IT and business-development projects. You have documented experience planning and leading system, integration and acceptance testing, preferably in major transformation initiatives or implementations of business-critical systems. Experience from retail, logistics or supply-chain-related operations is advantageous, as is experience from implementation projects involving multiple external suppliers. ISTQB certification, or an equivalent qualification, is beneficial.
You should be comfortable managing multiple parallel dependencies and stakeholder groups in a fast-paced, changing environment. Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English communication skills are required.
