Role Summary
An experienced Business Controller is needed to support a global Research and Development organization within Electrics, Electronics and Software development. Acting as a finance business partner, you will contribute to effective financial steering, planning and decision-making across the organization. The R&D organization is undergoing substantial changes in working methods, systems and roles, and the controlling function is evolving accordingly. This assignment offers the opportunity to help develop and implement future financial management models, processes and tools in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial steering, planning and decision-making for R&D functions and management teams.
- Drive and support core financial processes, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial closing.
- Perform financial analysis, reporting, KPI follow-up and management presentations.
- Actively support cost development, financial performance monitoring and the achievement of financial targets.
- Provide relevant financial insights and business recommendations to leadership and senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of future financial management models, processes and tools.
- Participate actively in global management forums and collaborate across R&D Controlling and other finance functions.
- Build effective working relationships across finance and non-finance teams in a broad international R&D network.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, planning and reporting.
- Strong presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Power BI for analysis, reporting and KPI follow-up.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial closing and performance reporting.
- Experience with SAP is a strong advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
You hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field, together with at least 5 years of Business Controlling experience. You have demonstrated ability to improve business performance through a structured, analytical and results-oriented approach. Experience working with senior stakeholders and management teams, preferably in an international environment, is required. The role requires strong business acumen, advanced analytical and systems capability, and the ability to influence decision-making across both finance and non-finance functions. Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Swedish language proficiency is advantageous.
