DevOps Team Lead - 19494

Role Summary

An experienced Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Team Lead is needed for a consulting assignment within an organisation developing software for embedded systems. The DevOps team currently consists of three engineers responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving the software production environment, including tools, infrastructure and automation solutions. Development supports both Linux and Android platforms.

The organisation supports multiple development teams across Embedded OS, Embedded Applications, SDK, FPGA and Production Software. Teams work closely together in cross-functional project groups involving several technical disciplines. The role therefore requires broad collaboration with development teams, other organisational functions and global IT.

The assignment combines hands-on DevOps engineering with team leadership. The successful candidate will drive the DevOps team's work forward while contributing operationally to infrastructure, automation and software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of the DevOps team while supporting the team's ongoing development and delivery priorities.
• Contribute hands-on to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the software production environment.
• Develop and maintain DevOps tooling, infrastructure and automation solutions.
• Support software delivery activities for Linux- and Android-based embedded software development.
• Collaborate closely with teams working on Embedded OS, Embedded Applications, SDKs, FPGA and Production Software.
• Coordinate with internal development teams, organisational stakeholders and global IT functions.

Technical Stack & Requirements

• Strong practical experience in DevOps, infrastructure and automation.
• Experience supporting software production and delivery environments.
• Experience with Linux and Android platforms.
• Understanding of development environments for embedded systems.
• Ability to work across cross-functional engineering teams and technical disciplines.

Qualifications & Experience

The assignment requires a senior-level DevOps professional who can combine operational engineering responsibilities with leadership of a small DevOps team. Experience working in an embedded software development organisation, supporting multiple technical product and platform teams, is highly relevant.
