Assignment Description

We are looking for an experienced Function Architect to support an automotive client

What You Will Work On

• Support vehicle software and functional changes from concept to approved solution.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to identify system impacts, dependencies, and affected functions.
• Define and document system concepts, interfaces, messages, and functional behaviour.
• Work closely with system owners, architects, and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate complex technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document architectural decisions using the relevant architecture tools.
• Support system-level decisions by evaluating impacts, dependencies, and trade-offs.
• Promote efficient, flow-oriented development processes.

What You Bring

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience in function development, system development, or system ownership in automotive or embedded systems.
• Good understanding of vehicle architecture, system complexity, and interconnected systems.
• Experience with system requirements, functional decomposition, and system concepts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Meritorious

• Previous experience working with the client.
• Experience as a Function Architect, System Architect, or in a similar architecture role.
• Knowledge of automotive communication technologies such as CAN and Ethernet.
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, or agile embedded software development.
• Knowledge of Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), autonomous vehicles, or advanced vehicle control systems.
• Familiarity with architecture toolchains and model-based development.
