Integration Developer - DDS Domain Data Services

Role Summary

An Integration Developer is needed for a consulting assignment within Domain Data Services, focused on data, integrations, and modern platform services. You will join a team developing a new integration and API platform for master data. The platform supports digital services and applications and integrates with SAP S/4, SAP Datasphere, and other data sources.

The solution exposes domain APIs for areas such as assortment, pricing, campaigns, and product information. It is built on Azure using services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure API Management (APIM), and MongoDB. The team works in a specification-driven manner and uses AI-assisted approaches for design, development, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve integrations and APIs that form a central part of the digital ecosystem.
• Drive delivery from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and follow-up.
• Build and support business-critical data flows with high requirements for quality, availability, and robustness.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and adjacent development teams to translate requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, manage incidents, and perform root-cause analyses.
• Contribute to improvements in architecture, development processes, delivery practices, and technical ways of working.
• Participate in specification-driven development and AI-assisted design, implementation, and quality-assurance activities.

Technical Stack & Requirements

• Strong hands-on development experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs.
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or comparable database technologies.
• Understanding of data modelling, information flows, and integration with ERP or other business-critical platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software-delivery practices.
• Experience with Azure-based platforms is highly valued, particularly Azure API Management (APIM) and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience with SAP S/4, SAP Datasphere, OData, Kubernetes, Helm, and integration formats such as JSON, XML, and file-based flows is advantageous.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, specification-driven practices, and frontend or full-stack development is beneficial.

Qualifications & Experience

You have several years of experience as an Integration Developer, Backend Developer, or in a similar role. You are comfortable working independently from requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria, while collaborating effectively across business and technical stakeholders. Experience with Agile development methods is required. Experience with master data management, complex integration landscapes, retail, or other business-critical environments is highly advantageous. Familiarity with SAFe and PI Planning is also beneficial.
