Om tjänsten

Role Summary

An experienced Network Technical Lead is required for a consulting assignment within a large organisation operating a complex IT environment with international stakeholders. The role serves as a trusted technical advisor in the network domain, ensuring that business needs for stability, security, cost efficiency and long-term sustainability are addressed.

You will represent the Swedish organisation in network-related matters and act as a key link between local operations, global IT functions and external suppliers. The assignment combines deep technical expertise with a strategic perspective, requiring the ability to understand operational needs and translate them into clear, well-founded technical recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the Swedish organisation's interests in matters concerning network infrastructure, security, technical development and change management.
  • Monitor requirements for network connectivity and communications between offices, projects and data centres, and present requirements and recommendations to global IT teams.
  • Act as a technical advisor on network security, firewalls and associated infrastructure solutions.
  • Review, challenge and quality-assure proposed technical solutions and supplier recommendations against business requirements and local conditions.
  • Perform qualified risk assessments ahead of technical changes and investments.
  • Review technical roadmaps and standards, providing recommendations based on business risks, needs and priorities.
  • Participate in Change Advisory and other relevant change forums to review and monitor change requests.
  • Serve as a technical contact and advisory escalation point for the local Incident Manager during major incidents and critical service disruptions.
  • Support technical assessments, coordination and escalation activities with global IT teams.
  • Prepare technical decision-support material addressing risk, cost, business impact and long-term sustainability.
  • Represent the local organisation in global initiatives and decisions affecting the network domain.
  • Identify technical debt, improvement opportunities and long-term risks within the network infrastructure.

Technical Stack & Requirements

  • Deep expertise in routing, switching, WAN, LAN and WLAN.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, including firewalls, network segmentation and secure communications.
  • Experience with hybrid and cloud-based network solutions.
  • Experience in technical governance, risk assessment and change management.
  • Working knowledge of Change Advisory Board processes and formal change-request review.
  • Experience assessing network architecture, network operations and infrastructure transformation initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate has several years of experience in network architecture, network operations or an equivalent technical specialist role. You should be comfortable providing independent technical recommendations, challenging proposed changes and recommending conditions, postponement or escalation when risks and consequences have not been sufficiently managed. Experience of supplier governance, requirements management and collaboration with external vendors is required.

Experience from international or global organisations is highly valued, as is participation in major transformation initiatives. Relevant network or security certifications are advantageous. The role requires the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly to varied stakeholders, including IT service management, architects, service owners, security functions, global IT teams and suppliers.

Eligibility:We are currently considering applications from candidates who are eligible to work in Sweden. Thank you for your understanding.
