Role Summary
An experienced Planner & Scheduler is required for a long-term consulting assignment within a large-scale industrial project in northern Sweden. The role is part of the project’s Planning & Scheduling function and is responsible for planning, schedule coordination, progress monitoring, and forecasting within an assigned project area.
You will work closely with project management, engineering, construction, commissioning, project controls, external contractors, and project partners in a complex environment involving multiple stakeholders, activities, and interdependencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules in accordance with established planning processes.
- Contribute planning information to, and integrate relevant data into, the overall project master schedule.
- Review schedules submitted by contractors and project partners, identifying gaps, dependencies, constraints, and potential consequences.
- Coordinate planning information across contractors, project partners, and internal project functions.
- Monitor actual progress against planned activities and contribute to schedule forecasting.
- Analyse delays, trends, risks, and opportunities affecting project delivery.
- Support the development of mitigation, corrective-action, and recovery plans when schedule delays occur.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Strong capability in project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and schedule forecasting.
- Experience coordinating integrated plans and managing dependencies across engineering, construction, commissioning, and contractor activities.
- Ability to review contractor schedules and assess schedule quality, constraints, risks, and delivery impacts.
- Experience working with project controls and master schedule processes in complex industrial projects.
Qualifications & Experience
The assignment requires an experienced planning and scheduling professional with a structured and analytical approach. Relevant experience from large, complex industrial project environments with multiple contractors, partners, parallel workstreams, and interdependent activities is essential.
