Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong Google Cloud Platform expertise to strengthen a Platform & Enablement capability within the Data & Analytics domain.

The role focuses on designing and building cloud platform capabilities using GCP, GKE/Kubernetes and Terraform, with strong emphasis on automation, security, reliability, CI/CD, observability and developer self-service.

What You Will Work On

• Design, build and improve platform capabilities on Google Cloud Platform
• Work hands-on with GKE/Kubernetes and container-based workloads
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Contribute to CI/CD and GitOps delivery patterns
• Work with GCP networking, IAM, workload identity and security
• Develop reusable platform components and enable developer self-service
• Support monitoring, logging, observability and operational reliability
• Support engineering teams onboarding workloads onto the platform
• Collaborate with platform engineers, data engineers, architects and security teams
• Define technical standards, reusable patterns and platform capabilities
• Take technical ownership while remaining hands-on

What You Bring

• Senior-level experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or DevOps
• Several years of hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Strong practical experience with GKE and Kubernetes
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with cloud platform foundations and landing zones
• Experience with IAM, workload identity, networking and cloud security
• Strong experience with CI/CD and automated delivery
• Experience with monitoring, logging and observability
• Experience supporting multiple engineering teams through shared platform capabilities
• Ability to work independently and take technical ownership
• Strong English communication skills
• Senior / Level 4 experience

• Experience with GCP data services: BigQuery, Dataflow and Pub/Sub
• Experience with Apache Beam
• Experience with data ingestion and streaming platforms
• Experience with GitOps and Helm
• Experience with Backstage / Internal Developer Platforms
• Experience with Python and Bash
• Experience with Google Cloud networking and security services
• Multi-cloud experience with GCP, Azure and/or AWS
• Experience in regulated or security-sensitive enterprise environments
• Experience with developer self-service and platform enablement
