Senior .NET / Azure Specialist – SaaS Platform Development - 20690

Assignment Description

We are looking for a senior, hands-on .NET/Azure specialist to take a central role in the continued development of an existing SaaS platform.

The overall architecture is already in place. You will take ownership of the remaining development work, drive implementation and work closely with a team of four developers.

The role combines technical responsibility with hands-on development, focusing on improving and completing the existing platform rather than designing a completely new architecture.

What You Will Work On

• Understand the existing architecture and identify remaining development needs.
• Drive platform development and implementation in Microsoft Azure.
• Develop backend solutions using C# and .NET.
• Build and enhance APIs, integrations and cloud-based services.
• Support stable, secure and reliable production operations.
• Handle troubleshooting, monitoring and performance improvements.
• Identify Azure cost-optimisation opportunities.
• Support the development team with technical decisions and implementation.
• Ensure the platform remains scalable, maintainable and reliable.

What You Bring

• Extensive and recent hands-on experience with C# and .NET development.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience in technical solution design and hands-on implementation.
• Experience with APIs, integrations and modern development processes.
• Experience with production environments, troubleshooting and deployments.
• Ability to independently drive technical work and collaborate with developers.

Meritorious

• Recent experience in smaller companies or development teams with broad technical responsibility.
• Practical experience using Claude or Claude Code in professional software development.
• Hands-on Azure cost optimisation experience.
• Operational responsibility for production environments, monitoring and incident management.
• Experience with SaaS platforms and multi-tenant architecture.
• Modernisation of existing .NET applications.
• Azure Landing Zones and Infrastructure as Code.
• Azure DevOps and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Kubernetes, Docker or other container technologies.
• Backup, recovery and Disaster Recovery.
• Experience migrating from single-tenant to multi-tenant architecture.
